Bonsang 2008

Congratulations to Shinhwa for winning the Bonsang 2008. I am so proud of them. Junjin, Minwoo & Hyesung were there to collect the award. Andy had to work.

Too bad Eric and Dongwan couldn't be there but I'm sure Eric would be home watching the awards on TV (maybe feeling sad that he can't receive the award on stage) and Dongwan (I'm sure his lovely platoon mates would be cheering & celebrating for him in their own small ways).

Proud of them for doing so well despite the lack for promotion for this 9th album. It shows their standing in the Kpop arena. Well done, boys. Waiting for you is the Bonsang 2011 or 2012. I'll be cheering you from here then. It's a date!

Muscle man - Jun Jin

Saw Junjin & Dongwan on tv the other day. Junjin was leg wrestling with Kim Ji Hoon & Kim Jong Kook. I was so proud of Jinnie. He won every round. 2 rounds against Kim Jong Kook and 1 round again Kim Ji Hoon. Kim Jong Kook couldn't believe he lost the first round and decided to try again. Jinne won again. I really couldn't help squealing with joy. Jinnie's so strong and steady. Kim Jong Kook's face was distorted as he tried to squeeze every ounce of energy to beat Jinnie but Jinnie was basically emotionless and he looked as if he didn't use any energy at all. Winning was like taking candy from a baby! Keep it up, Jin ah!

Happy Birthday, Hyesung

Today's Hyesung's birthday. I bought a chocolate cake and sang him a birthday song. I hope his concerts went well and he's happy. Wonder if his Shinhwa bros found time to celebrate with him or gave him a call?

I'm sure they would have - how could they ever forget their precious Hyesung's birthday right?

I wish you happiness and good health. I'm still looking at yesasia everyday to see if your 3rd album 2nd side is ready for preorder...Can't wait but then, do find time to take a rest. See you soon. Love you.

Guy with the brightest smile - Kim Dongwan

Saw Dongwan on Golden Bell yesterday. He looked fresh and cheery. He did mention that his height is the thing that bothers him the most. I think Minwoo also mentioned that on Golden Bell before.

Anyway, it was nice seeing him on tv. He flashed his bright smile and made my day. Take care Dongwan!

Dongwan enlisted yesterday and I remembered to keep him in my prayers. I hope he's doing fine and adjusting.

I was so busy yesterday I could not blog about wannie. His song (promise) is on the mnet charts. M & Jinnie's songs are also on the mnet charts. So happy for them. Shinhwa members are all good singers and entertainers. That's why Dongwan also asked all fans to continue to support all other active Shinhwa members in their solo activities.

Dongwan, take care and see you in about 28 days.

M on Golden Bell challenge

Saw M on Golden Bell the other day. He was so handsome. Everything about him was perfect. His smile, his cuteness... I was mesmerised! He's so lively as compared to when Hyesung was on golden bell. The camera also could not stop focussing on M.... after some other guest said something, they would show M's reaction / smile... I guess that's because he is so charming that everyone's naturally attracted to him.

Shinhwa's 10 anniversary concert dvd

I received the Shinhwa 10th anniversay concert dvd (korean version & the Japan version) yesterday. The korean version has 2 dvds (about the concert) & a photo book. The Japan version has 3 dvds (2 about the concert & a bonus dvd - behind the scenes, etc). Surprisingly, the japan version comes with English subtitles. To me, the Japan version was a better buy than the Korean version. The boys were so sad & they cried....the concert was very interesting & I enjoyed every song they sang. I cried too when I watched them. Their love for each other is so strong. If any 3 of them were gals, the other 3 would marry them!! I believe them when they say they are just taking a short break and will definitely be back. I'll be counting down till then.

M on Vitamin

So happy to see M on Vitamin. I taped the show & watched it at midnight... was very tired but so glad to see him and I'm so proud that he has the cleanest teeth... (SO KISSABLE)

He was so cute when he tried to shake off the 2 stickers that were stuck to his face. His expressions were priceless.

Eric Mun

Time flies. Eric has been gone for 29 days now. He's almost done with the training & should be moving on to his civil duties. Just another 24 months. I'll countdown 24, 23, 22.. won't be long till I see you again, Eric.

Eric - 3 weeks down

It's been 3 weeks since Eric has been away. He has only 24 months and 1 week more before he returns. Hope he's doing well and is busy, cos when you're busy, time flies. Soon, it'll be Dongwan's turn. I hope the bros have been keeping in contact thru sms / calls. Maybe Sungie has been cleaning Ric's house for him.

Dongwan's single album

Dongwan's single album will be released on 10 Nov 08. It will be the last piece before his enlistment on 17 Nov. It is available for preorder on yesasia. He has a song on this album that's a collaboration with Younha. I would actually prefer a collaboration with one of his Shinhwa bros but then again, all of them are fully stretched. Anyway, I've ordered mine and it'll be shipped on 11 Nov 08.

JunJin's 1st album - New Decade / Together 4ever

I also bought Junjin's new decade when it was released and then the repackaged album - together 4ever. I like the song (sarang handa neun keumal) as it features Eric. Quite nice to hear Ric's voice especially now that he's not here.
I like ALL the songs in Junjin's album. They all sound catchy and easy to the ears (unlike M's music - much as I like M, I don't listen to his album as JJ's) I also like JJ's duet with Lee Ji Hoon in "For You".

Only thing I didn't like are the photos (in New Decade & Together 4ever). All of them don't look good, a little weird. It doesn't do justice to Jinnie's handsome / cute face. He always looks so perfect but .. sigh. Something wrong with the hairstylist / photographer. "Jin ah, change them".

Dongwan's album - The secret between us

I bought his 2nd album (The secret between us) when it was released a few months back. It is a very good album and I love most of the songs.

When he released a repackage of this album, I also ordered and I received it only recently. The repackage album contains many new photos - not the "Dongwan with the bright smile" kind of photos but the manly, steady & quiet side of Dongwan. The side that I seldom see on TV or videos.

An interesting side....a face that I'll miss for 2 years, starting 17 Nov 08, just a few days before his 30th birthday on the 21 of Nov.

I also bought the flower pot by Dongwan. It comes with seeds and I'll start growing them next Jan. I don't have green fingers but I'll try and see what kind of blooms I'll get. As I water the plants daily, I'll say a short prayer for Dongwan.

Shinhwa 10th concert dvd

Just saw this on dvd heaven. It contains 2 dvd, 100 pg photobook & a poster. Can't wait. It is available for preorder on yesasia. It will be out only on the 2nd week of Nov. I've ordered this and the Japan version as well (cos they seem to have slightly different contents). Expensive but I'm sure it'll be worth the money & anyway, with Shinhwa enlisting, I've got nothing much to buy in the next 2 yrs except for Hyesung's albums. (good thing there's Hyesung - in a way, its a blessing that he hurt his knee)

M Lee Min Woo

Managed to catch M on cider & music bank yesterday. He looked good. He was so cute on cider, talking about Hyesung & about the original 7 members of Shinhwa. He performed very well on music bank too. Hope to be able to catch him on other shows - maybe Vitamin tonight.

Shinhwa members should appear on 2 days 1 nite too - should be fun to see them in the "wild".

Anyway, Minwoo looks fresh, not too tired.. & I hope he stays that way, find time to rest & eat well. Take care, M!

Hyesung on Star golden bell challenge

Just saw Hyesung on golden bell Star challenge. He looked very tired, with dark eye rings... Rest more Hyesung! He talked about his relationship with Eric. He did not look very lively, just wished he was there with the Shinhwa boys. It would be a very different Hyesung.

M rizing

Just got my copy of M rizing - Minwoo's 4th album. Also received his necklace & ring. So glad the ring fits my ring finger perfectly. Minwoo was also featured on yesterday's music bank - managed to tape it on my dvdr. M seems to have lots of activities going on - I wonder when he'll enlist next year? I hope it would be early. 2 years of missing Shinhwa is better than 3 years or 4. Missing them all at once would be better.

Eric Mun Chong Hyok - One more day

Eric, you'll be starting your service tomorrow. Miss your smile, your quirks, your fooling around with Jinnie, your hugs with Andy & most of all, the RicSung combi. I'm sure Hyesung will miss having you around to "annoy" him. I miss you. I'll countdown till the day you return. I'll remember to pray for you to our Lord God, asking him to bless you with good health and happiness. I await your safe return.

Countdown for Eric & Wannie

As it gets closer to the date Eric will enlist, I am starting to feel upset. The bros should be meeting up & sending Eric off. Would be a teary farewell but since Eric is doing public service after his 5 weeks basic training, I guess he should be able to go home instead of staying in camp right? So the boys would be able to meet up with him a little easier right? I hope Hyesung & Eric would take the opportunity to settle any discomfort between them & enjoy their days as neighbours after Ric's 5 weeks training. But for me, I won't be as lucky as Hyesung. I probably would not see him on screen for the next 2 years.

I've just made a collage of Eric & his bros (with a calendar - Oct 08 to Dec 2010). I've completed one for Dongwan too, also with a calendar Oct 08 to Dec 2010. I'll use it everyday to strike off the days & countdown till Eric & Wannie returns. I'll do the same for the rest of the Shinhwa boys when they confirm their enlistment date (At the moment, Jinnie's date should be Feb 09). AHHH! Eric & Wannie!

Minwoo on music star

Music star was shown on tv yesterday & I was surprised to see Minwoo performing his song (Sarangiran yeppeun du keulja - love beautiful 2 ...). He looked good in white (prince charisma). I'm still waiting for his 4th album to be shipped to me. Anyway, tried voting for M on Mnet but he's somehow still in 2nd place. Had dilema (didn't know if I should vote for Hyesung or M but in the end I voted for M cos he was nearer the top). Sorry, Hyesung!

Hyesung's side 2

Hyesung's side 2 notice is up at Yesasia. It says the release date is 15 Dec. On one hand, I wish its dec now, so can buy side 2 but then again, it will mean that Eric & Dongwan won't be around.

Hyesung on Mnet top 10

Happy for my little prince - His album is #6 on the Mnet Top 10. I think its album sales??

Anyway, with his talent, he'll do well. His concert tics were sold out in a day (I think in Japan). All the best, handsome!

Hyesung on Happy Together

Oh.. I was surprised to see Hyesung on Happy Together. Although I did'nt understand anything he said except that he mentioned Eric, Ji Hoon, Kangta and something about a car...It was lovely to see him on TV in tshirt & shorts. He looked cute, less princely though...

How I wish I can understand more Korean... sigh!

Dongwan on Loveletter

Dongwan appeared on Loveletter today. He sang very well & looked really handsome. He was smiling broadly as he sang, unlike Hyesung who usually looks sad when he sings. He also played the guitar & sang at the same time. Wow. I'm impressed! I think the next time I get to catch Wannie on TV will be 2 years later in late 2010. I'll be waiting for you till then. Shinhwa's Concerts

All of them are having concerts these 2 months (except Eric & Andy). Its so confusing. I can hardly remember the dates. The fans in Korea must be really busy, going to a concert almost every 2 weeks. I envy them. How I wish I can go to one too. I'm sure their concert will be every enjoyable and memorable. All the best to Jun Jin, Dongwan, Hyesung & Minwoo.
